Katie and Mya Visit Owen Sound |

n June of this year Josie, Katie and Mya came to Owen Sound for a visit. We toured them around Owen Sound and visited Harrison Park. I think Mya enjoyed our visit to the water park at kelso beach the most. It was a great time catching up with them.

RCMP Musical Ride Comes to Owen Sound |

This Saturday Marie, Cathy and I had tickets to the RCMP Musical Ride at the Bayshore. The opening acts consisted of a dog show and horse jumping. It had been 30 years since I saw the Ride. At that time they were accompanied by the RCMP Band and were in a much larger venue. It was a little less spectacular without the band and the smaller arena made it a little difficult for the horses.

Our New Mustang has Arrived |

On Friday September 8th Marie and I drove to Kincardine to pick up the 2024 Mustang that we ordered in May. It was a great experience. They had it in the showroom for us to see. Although it wasn't a great day for a convertible being overcast and cold, we very much enjoyed the ride home in our new car.

In early August we were invited to visit Cousin Karen and Bill in Stoney Creek. We had a great time reminiscing about our adventures in Florida and we were able to resume our “Marbles” competition. Although Karen and I were able to win a few matches Marie and Bill ultimately retain their position as the “Marbles Champions”

We Just Ordered the 2024 Mustang GT |

We ordered the convertible in the new Yellow Splash Metallic with the GT Performance Package, 10 Speed Automatic, active-valve performance exhaust system, and MagneRide electronically adjustable dampers. We also opted for the Bronze-Themed Package that provides the bronze wheels and bronze badges.

A recent study showed that Europeans spend more time with their grandchildren than North Americans and past the age of seventy the grandfather takes the lead while grandmothers are clearly more involved with their grandchildren before age seventy. This could be due to the fact that in North America families are more geographically dispersed.

Repairing Our Samsung Dryer Using YouTube |

Four years ago we purchased a new Samsung Dryer and Washer. Recently Marie notice the dryer started to squeak while drying. Later the “squeak” turned into an annoying “squeal”. We thought it was a squeaky belt so we thought we should call a repair service and we were anticipating a $300 to $400 bill.

I thought it would be interesting to post the cars I’ve driven over the past twenty years and take a look at where we are headed in the future. In May 2022 we ordered out next Lincoln to replace our Continental with the expectation that it would be delivered in October. Unfortunately, after waiting nearly ten months we finally got an estimate delivery date of March 2023.
